How AutoApply collects, uses, and protects your data.

What we collect

Account details, your career profile, CV information, job-search preferences, generated applications, sent-application metadata, and reply metadata needed to classify outcomes.

Your connected mailbox

When you connect Gmail or Outlook, AutoApply uses OAuth. We never see or store your password. Access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest, and you can disconnect your mailbox from Settings.

How we use your data

We use your data to find matching roles, prepare applications, send from your own mailbox within safe limits, track replies, and show progress. We do not sell your data.

The myautoapply browser extension

If you install the myautoapply Chrome extension, it links to your account with a short-lived code and a revocable extension token — never your password. On job pages you open, it reads visible form fields to fill them from your profile and uploads CVs and cover letters you have prepared. It never collects passwords, CAPTCHA contents, or MFA codes, and it pauses for you instead of bypassing any security check. Reusable answers you approve are stored against your account so you do not retype them; page text is redacted before any anonymous form-mapping feedback is sent, and full page HTML is not stored. You can clear your saved answers and unlink the extension at any time.

Your controls

You can export your account data or permanently delete your account from the Account page. Deletion removes your data and disconnects your mailbox.

Security

AutoApply is built around encrypted secrets, per-user data isolation, visible activity logs, conservative sending guardrails, and no invented qualifications.
